The hybrid personal training model

Integrates online and in-person training to give you the best of both worlds. You continue to meet with me, get assessments, and get coached in person, but also get programs delivered and support online.

How the hybrid model works

I will meet with clients face to face at regular intervals to do assessments, teach new exercises, review and correct form, and answer questions. Just as important, I also maintain a familiar, personal relationship with each one.

I will be delivering your programs and the majority of your coaching and support online.

How often we meet in person is up to you. Clients train at the gym once or twice a month. Others client’s needs determine the frequency.

For example, I might train a novice in person twice a week at first, and then scale back as the client gets more confident and comfortable in the gym. But for a long-term client with a crazy schedule, you might only get together a few times a year.

All clients get their performance plan online. It’s individualized for each client, same as it would be if you were training entirely in person.

The value to the you is that the performance plan goes far beyond exercises, sets, and reps. You can think of it as a concierge service for my clients’ health and wellness. Your fitness is a crucial component, but it’s not the sole focus it might be with in-person training.

Advantages of the hybrid model for the client

It’s more cost effective

The efficiency is your savings. As long as you’re not a complete beginner,You should be able to take yourself through a program that I have provided and shown you how to do.

It’s more flexible

Do you have a chaotic schedule? Maybe you travel for business, face all-or-nothing deadlines at work, or even a mother or father with children. (a child with special needs or a chronic illness)

Imagine what a relief it is to knowing you can hit the gym when it’s convenient for you, and doesn’t have to worry about canceling appointments—especially when it’s at the last minute.

It’s more convenient

Clients can not only work out WHEN it’s most convenient for them, but can also work out WHERE it’s most convenient. You can train at home, in a company fitness center, or at the $10 -a-month gym like youfit or planet fitness thats around every corner.

Clients in person

Initial consultation and assessment

In person, I answer questions you wouldn’t have thought to ask until you met the trainer face to face.

We also establish a stronger connection, and do it faster. I can read my client’s body language and develop a rhythm in our conversation. A client who’s comfortable with me is more likely to trust my advice and adhere to my program.

Exercise demonstrations

It’s easier to teach a client a new exercise in person. And of course it’s the only way to correct form in real time.

One benefit of the hybrid model is that I can time the in-person sessions to coincide with new exercises or techniques in the client’s program.

Ideally, each face-to-face session will be a normal workout plan that I create for you. We will schedule a session just for me to demonstrate exercises and answer questions. A client who’s paying me for a workout will get a workout. so keep that in mind

Here’s what I want to accomplish by the end of an in-person session:

  • Demonstrate and coach new exercises.

  • Check the client’s form on key exercises that carry over from previous stages of the program.

  • Perform any recurring assessment that I deem necessary to help you improve in that area.

  • Answer questions, address concerns, clear obstacles, and leave you feeling confident about the road ahead.

Supporting the client

It’s crucial that I check in with the clients in between our in-person sessions. I’ve been a trainer for a while and I know that just because clients don’t ask questions, doesn’t mean they don’t have them. If nothing else, I will acknowledge form, completing workouts and making progress, and I’m here to offer encouragement and perspective when it’s not going as well as you hoped.

Weekly check-ins work well. They’re typically 15 to 30 minutes long, which gives me plenty of time to answer your questions and prepare my you for upcoming workouts. It can be voice or video calls, whichever the you prefer.

Another option that I have is the weekly check-in form. We have an online training software that allows me to create custom forms that I can email to my clients.
